  7. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  8. before using this software.  Unless you have a different license
  9. agreement signed by Nico Mak Computing, Inc., your use of this
  10. software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement and
  11. warranty.

  13. For information on distributing the shareware evaluation version
  14. of WinZip Self-Extractor see the section titled "Shareware
  15. License" below.

  17. Registered Version

  19. Each registered copy of WinZip Self-Extractor may be used at a
  20. single workstation to create an unlimited number of
  21. self-extracting ZIP files, subject to the following conditions:

  23. * A separate registered copy of WinZip Self-Extractor must be
  24.   obtained for each workstation on which WinZip Self-Extractor
  25.   will be used to create self-extracting ZIP files, even if such
  26.   use is only temporary.  This is not a "concurrent use" license.

  28. * Self-extracting ZIP files created by WinZip Self-Extractor
  29.   contain, among other things, a portion of WinZip Self-
  30.   Extractor, including copyrighted software, proprietary notices,
  31.   and identifying information (the "Extraction Software").  No
  32.   registered user, nor anyone else, may alter or modify the
  33.   Extraction Software.  You cannot give anyone else permission to
  34.   modify the Extraction Software.

  36. All rights not expressly granted in this license agreement are
  37. reserved entirely to Nico Mak Computing, Inc.

  39. Governing Law

  41. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  42. Connecticut.

  44. Disclaimer of Warranty

  46. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND
  47. WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY
  48. OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  Because of the
  49. various hardware and software environments into which WinZip
  50. Self-Extractor may be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A
  51. PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.  Good data processing procedure
  52. dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical
  53. data before relying on it.  The user must assume the entire risk
  54. of using the program.  ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE
  55. LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE
  56. PRICE.

  60. Evaluation and Registration

  62. This is not free software.  You are hereby licensed to use the
  63. shareware evaluation version of WinZip Self-Extractor for
  64. evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 21 days.  If
  65. you use this software after the 21 day evaluation period a
  66. registration fee is required, as described in the WinZip
  67. Self-Extractor order form (order.txt).  Under no circumstances
  68. are you licensed to distribute self-extracting ZIP files created
  69. by the shareware evaluation version of WinZip Self-Extractor.
  70. Unregistered use of WinZip Self-Extractor after the 21-day
  71. evaluation period is in violation of U.S. and international
  72. copyright laws.

  74. Distribution of WinZip Self-Extractor

  76. You are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the shareware
  77. evaluation version of this software and documentation as you wish;
  78. give exact copies of the original shareware version to anyone; and
  79. distribute the shareware version of the software and documentation
  80. in its unmodified form via electronic means.  There is no charge
  81. for any of the above.

  83. You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting
  84. donations, for any such copies, however made; and from
  85. distributing the software and/or documentation with other products
  86. (commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission, with
  87. one exception:  Disk Vendors approved by the Association of
  88. Shareware Professionals are permitted to redistribute WinZip
  89. Self-Extractor, subject to the conditions in this license, without
